What we shipped

A running log of new source connectors, engine improvements, and product updates. Newest first.

v1.3

Linear connector GA, source-level permission scoping, citation accuracy

  • Linear is now generally available as a first-class source. Issues, project notes, and resolution context are indexed and answerable alongside your docs and chat.
  • Workspace admins can now scope which team roles can query which connected sources. A support team member can be limited to Zendesk and Notion, for example, without seeing tickets from Linear projects they are not part of.
  • Citation accuracy improved: the verbatim quote shown for each answer now reflects the exact sentence the model read, not the nearest surrounding paragraph. Quotes you open in the source document should match character for character.
  • Fixed a case where re-indexing a large Confluence space stalled silently if a single page timed out. The indexer now skips the failed page, logs it, and completes the rest of the space.
v1.2

Faster answers, Slack connector beta, and model routing update

  • Multi-source reasoning now routes to a frontier model by default. Median end-to-end answer latency is down roughly 19% compared with the previous routing table.
  • Slack connector is now available in beta. Connect a workspace and Frond reads thread history, channel messages, and pinned posts as a first-class source. Answers from Slack cite the specific thread and timestamp.
  • Fast lookups, such as exact-match on a known policy name or a document title, now use a lighter model. This keeps response times low on simple questions without reducing output quality on hard ones.
  • Scheduled maintenance on the indexing pipeline completed on 2026-06-08. Total window was 11 minutes. All sources re-indexed with no data loss and no gaps in coverage.
v1.1

Jira connector, workspace roles, and faster indexing for large spaces

  • Jira Cloud connector is now available. Connect a Jira project and Frond indexes issue history, sprint context, and resolution notes alongside your existing sources. Read-only, permission-aware.
  • Workspace member roles are now distinct: owners manage billing and workspace settings, admins manage sources and members, and members ask questions and view answers. Role controls are in workspace settings.
  • The indexing pipeline now runs in parallel across large Notion and Confluence spaces. Most workspaces that previously took 20 to 40 minutes to complete their first index now finish in under 10.
  • The answer source panel was redesigned. Each citation now shows the document section and containing page title alongside the document name, so you can orient in a long document before you click through.
