What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They allow the site to remember information across page loads and sessions, such as whether you are signed in. Local storage is a browser-based mechanism that stores data on your device without an expiry date unless explicitly cleared.

We keep our use of cookies minimal and purposeful. This page describes exactly what we store and why.

Our approach

By default, Frond places only the cookies that are strictly necessary for the service to function. We do not place advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or any cookie that sends data to a third-party ad network. We do not use cookies to follow you across other websites or build a profile of your browsing activity.

Cookies and storage we use

• Session and authentication. When you sign in, Frond sets an HttpOnly, Secure session cookie named frond.session-token. This cookie identifies your authenticated session and is required for the service to work. Without it, you cannot access your workspace or ask questions. It expires when your session ends or after a period of inactivity, whichever comes first. This cookie cannot be opted out of while you are using the service.
• CSRF protection. A same-site anti-forgery token is stored alongside your session cookie to prevent cross-site request forgery. It is scoped to your session and expires with it.
• Theme preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in browser local storage under the key frond-theme. No personal information is included. Clearing your browser storage removes it, and your preference will reset to the system default on your next visit.

What we do not do

We do not use advertising or behavioral tracking cookies. We do not place third-party cookies that follow you around the web. We do not share cookie data with data brokers, ad exchanges, or marketing platforms. We do not use any third-party ad network.

How to control cookies

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies for specific sites. Instructions for the most common browsers:

• Chrome. Settings, Privacy and security, Cookies and other site data.
• Firefox. Settings, Privacy and Security, Cookies and Site Data.
• Safari. Settings, Privacy, Manage Website Data.
• Edge. Settings, Cookies and site permissions.

Blocking the frond.session-token cookie will prevent you from signing in and using the service. Clearing local storage means your theme preference will reset to the system default on each visit.

To clear local storage, open your browser developer tools, go to the Application or Storage tab, and clear site data for getfrondai.com.
