Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026.
Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Frond service, operated by Frond, Inc., a Delaware, United States corporation. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.
The service
Frond is an AI knowledge assistant for teams. It connects to your docs, wikis, tickets, and chat over read-only, permission-aware connections, reads all of it, and answers any plain-language question with a cited answer drawn verbatim from your own sources.
Frond answers from your sources. It is not a legal advisor, compliance officer, or authority on any subject. Every answer is a reading of the documents you have connected, and accuracy depends on those documents being current and complete. You are responsible for reviewing any answer before acting on it.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information when you create an account and keep it current. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at security@getfrondai.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
One person or entity may not maintain more than one free-tier account. Accounts are not transferable.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Connect sources you do not have the right to access or share with a third-party service.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, probe, or extract model weights, index structures, or proprietary algorithms underlying the service.
- Automate access in a way that places unreasonable load on the service infrastructure beyond normal API usage.
- Use the service to build a competing product that replicates its core knowledge-assistant function.
- Upload, transmit, or connect content that is illegal, harmful, or in violation of third-party rights.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these restrictions, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.
Plans, billing, and renewals
Frond is offered on three plans, all priced in USD:
- Free. $0. Connect one source, ask a limited number of questions per month, and get cited answers with the same engine as paid plans. No credit card required.
- Team. $39 per user per month. Unlimited sources, higher question volume, team-wide access controls, and priority indexing. Available on a monthly or annual billing cycle. Annual plans are billed as a single upfront charge. Monthly plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period. Annual plans renew automatically at the end of the annual term.
- Business. $99 per user per month. Everything in Team plus model routing controls, Business-grade source connectors, SSO, dedicated support, and the ability to route questions to open models you host. Available on a monthly or annual billing cycle with the same renewal terms as Team.
Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes. Where required by law, we will add tax at checkout.
To cancel a monthly subscription, visit your account settings before the renewal date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and stops the next charge. Access continues until the end of the period you paid for.
For annual subscriptions cancelled within 30 days of the annual charge, we will issue a prorated refund for the unused portion of the year. After 30 days, annual fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
Customer data and intellectual property
You retain all ownership of the documents, tickets, messages, and other content you connect to Frond, as well as the answers the service produces for your workspace.
By using the service, you grant Frond, Inc. a limited, non-exclusive license to receive, store, index, and process your connected-source content solely to provide the service to your team. We do not claim any intellectual property rights in your data or in the answers it generates.
Frond, the Frond answer engine, its interface, models, and the underlying software remain the intellectual property of Frond, Inc..
Confidentiality
Each party may receive confidential information from the other in connection with the service. Each party agrees to use that information only as necessary to perform its obligations and to protect it with at least the care it uses for its own confidential information.
Your connected-source content is treated as your confidential information. We will not share it with other customers, use it to train shared models, or disclose it to third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy or as required by law.
Disclaimers
The service is provided as-is and as-available. Frond, Inc. makes no warranty, express or implied, that answers will be accurate, complete, or current, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Answer quality depends on the accuracy of your connected sources.
Frond reads your sources and composes cited answers. The output is a starting point for information-gathering, not a certified conclusion. You are responsible for reviewing any answer before relying on it.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Frond, Inc. and its officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of revenue, lost data, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
Term and termination
These Terms remain in effect for as long as you use the service. Either party may terminate at any time: you by deleting your account, we by providing 30 days of written notice unless you have materially breached these Terms, in which case we may terminate immediately.
On termination, your access to the service ends. We will retain your workspace data for 30 days after termination to allow export, then delete it in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and both parties consent to personal jurisdiction there.
Changes
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. If we make material changes, we will email the address on your account at least 14 days before they take effect and note the change at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
